General comments
Langdurig behandelen met gentamicine wordt afgeraden.
Patiënten gekoloniseerd met een ESBL: therapie op geleide resistentiepatroon
Behandelduur:
- Vrouwen met ongecompliceerde pyelonefritis die met ciprofloxacine behandeld worden: 7 dagen
- Alle andere gecompliceerde UWI bij vrouwen: 10-14 dagen
- Alle gecompliceerde uwi bij mannen: 14 dagen
Ciprofloxacine alleen indien er anafylaxie voor B-lactam antibiotica bestaat.
Bij ernstige sepsis of septische shock, eenmalig 5 mg/kg iv gentamicine toevoegen.
